I sacks 3 Commissioners and appointed 5 - Ambode

State Governor Lagos Akinwunmi Ambode on Thursday reorganized his cabinet, dismissing three commissioners and appointing five new ones.

In a statement signed by State Secretary Tunji Bello, three cabinet members are Adebimpe Akinsola, Femi Odubiyi and Anifowoshe Abiola.

New cabinet members are Hakeem Fahm (Ministry of Science and Technology); Ladi Lawanson (Ministry of Transport); Segun Banjo (Ministry of Economic Plans and Budget); Olayinka Oladunjoye (Ministry of Trade and Industry) and Hakeem Sulaiman (Community and Communications).

The decommissioning of the cabinet also involved the removal of some commissioners from some departments and their appointment to others.

Rotimi Ogunleye moved from trade and industry to spatial planning and urban development; Steve Ayorinde, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture; Kehinde Bamigbetan for Communities and Communication at the Ministry of Information and Strategy; Babatunde Durosinmi Etti from the Ministry of the Creation of Wealth at the Ministry of Environmental Protection; Uzamat Akinhta-Yusuf from the Ministry of Youth and Social Development at the Ministry of Creation of Wealth; Agboola Dabiri, Central Business District of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.

Others are Samuel Adejare from the Department of Environmental Protection Department of Infrastructure Development Riparense; Ade Akinsanya of Reparas Infrastructure Development Department at the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.

Along with that, Benjamin Olabinjo was transferred from Special Adviser to Trade and Industry to a Special Adviser for Civil Engagement, while Kehinde Joseph left the post of Special Adviser for Housing. .

Deji Tinubu, Special Advisor, Sport was re-implemented as the Special Advisor to the Governor of Commerce and Industry, and Anofiu Elegushi moves from Special Advisor, Traffic, Special Advisor to the Central Business District.

New commissioners must be authorized by the Assembly, while other redistributions and tasks will come into force immediately.

Bello said new appointments and redistributions were designed to create new strength and vitality for service delivery, which was the hallmark of Ambode Governorship.
